Early life and family.

Gary Kent Masciarelli was born in the Bronx, New York on November 13, 1934,  parents Marjorie Irene (Nee Ward), a tap dance teacher, and Anthony Wallace Masciarelli, an industrial film director . [4] Marshall's family of Italian origin, with the San Martino Sulla's Marrucina, Chieti, Abruzzo, started in Italy. [5] Marshall's mother German, English, and Scottish ancestry.
